The interior architecture, in keeping with the Lenkerhof principle, is neither modern nor traditional and especially not uniform. In the public areas, its purpose was rather to create different worlds of experience that abut one another like stage sets and subdivide the expansive ground plan in the process.
Natural light and artificial lighting play a key role in all of this. The same goes for the colours which exploit the entire spectrum, are bright, but are always used selectively, and always give rise to generally strong, warm earth tones across larger areas.
The wellness area is an exception to this. One is literally in the earth here and sensitised to the elements of fire and water by the intensive red and blue surfaces. But even here, every cubicle is a world in itself, lined up along the course of the 7 wells, an interpretation of the Lenk springs.
Rooms range between tranquillity and bright breeziness in their design. To some extent they reflect the individuality of the entire building.
