Make sure you plan on adding one of these the next time you remodel the flat. This is the future of computing. These surfaces are currently being used by the US military and other big organizations around the world.
These digital surfaces can recognize multiple points of input and can be configured for all sorts of different applications such as manipulating maps, graphics and or documents. The cool thing is that these walls are already being deployed and are a proven technology. Microsoft has created a product called Microsoft Surface which we will soon see in major hotels, casinos and malls around the country in 2008. The first units will sell for only about $10,000 and will soon be introduced to the consumer market. They include such features as being to sync devices simply by setting the devices on the table and dragging documents between them! They also use infrared cameras to identify what the object is that is being placed on the table. Whether it's digital or just a glass.
